Asus Ep121 Windows 10 1
As the tablet wars rage on, the iPad 2 is still one of the slickest tablet experiences around, while Windows 7
is generally regarded as the worst. Thatâs hardly surprising, since Microsoftâs OS wasnât primarily designed for either tablets or touch. Unfortunately, sub-par implementations on Windows tablets like the Acer Iconia Tab and MSI WindPad 100W didnât do it any favours. However, since Asus has produced one of the best Android tablets available today with its award-winning Eee Pad Transformer, we have high hopes for its Eee Slate EP121.
For artists, designers or just those fond of handwriting,
the integrated Wacom Digitizer with included stylus is a dream come true, and for regular finger interaction the screen offers capacitive touch too. And finally thereâs the bundled wireless Bluetooth keyboard. Rather than an average first-party keyboard, Asus has made the laudable decision of going with the Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000, which takes typing comfort to a whole new level.

Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Right price. Great speed.
Cons: A little challenging to navigate using touch. May be better with Windows 8.
Overall Review: Purchased a second one for the family.
Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Full OS on a tablet
Cons: Bad touch screen and not really enough juice to run a full OS. Battery life is abysmal.
The touch screen courser randomly shoots all over the place. it especially likes to hang out in the top right corner and close applications that you are using. Extremely annoying. MS bluetooth keyboard broke after a couple of uses and I had to buy a much better replacement logitech.
Dear Valued Customer,
I apologize for the issues that you are having with your touch screen. Has it always been behaving like this, or did this issue recently start coming about? I would try to do a factory reset on the device, to make sure there is nothing wrong with the hardware. If that doesnât work, please e-mail me at [email protected]. Iâll be more than happy to provide assistance. Best Regards, Tien ASUS Customer Loyalty

Pros: great little tablet, game with a Bluetooth keyboard.....haven't even needed to take it our of its packaging.
i used this while i was in school for industrial design, it can handle quite alot. was running CS6 with no problems
Cons: battery life is a little short but i expect that for it running win7.
and sometimes the pen doesnt like to work, but i believe its a driver issue.
Comments: If you are looking for a tablet that can handle more than the average tablet or even basic laptops this is the unit for you.
Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: It Runs at a good clip and has reasonable horsepower. The build quality is sturdy. Windows has its pluses
Cons: Simply put, windows is not ready for a touch device. l plan to upgrade to wins when possible.
I'm no fan of apple, but live found the iPad to be much more Usable. Simply writing this review, as short as it is is proving to be a chore on this device.
Overall Review: have buyer's remorse and have since l bought this thing. Save some money and buy an iPad unless you're an artist. This may be a good device if that is your intended use.
Comments: I was VERY happy with my purchase until the SSD failed. I was a little upset after that.
Now that I have to deal with ASUS tech support it has become a horrible nightmare. Was given the wrong facility address to ship the tablet to, and now the device cannot be located. I have had many great ASUS products, but never had to deal with tech support till now. :(
Comments: Open the cover gently. Look at where the headphone jack is, and roll in the electric tape some foam and slide it between the two boards. Make sure not to have the board lifting too much once the foam is under, otherwise you will create a stress point in the board and with time it will break. Do this, until that when you push on the top board it is not moving anymore. For the cover, use small strip of the mounting tape and put it inside on the edge where the cover meet the tablet. Put it all the way around except on the side where the USB ports are, so that if you need to reopen the tablet you can always do it.
When the pen is out of the tablet, there is a sound of metal against metal. When the cover is open, remove the 3 screws holding the pen housing. Then remove the spring and the metal bar and put masking tape on the bar. I found out the masking tape prevent the spring from not functioning or getting stuck compare to other tapes. By doing this, the design flaws have been fix
Comments: More about the keyboard UI: Depending on where you are entering text, you will get a different keyboard UI. Usually this keyboard does not give you any feedback about when a key is successfully pressed so you have to keep checking back to where the text is appearing to make sure your key press was detected. This may be a Microsoft issue but the experience reflects negatively on the whole ASUS tablet package.
